Doug,

That worked really well!! The image looks very smooth!!

I did also use Bgsmooth on my Aurora shot from October the 21st. I used a radius
of 1.2 and MaxDiff of 15. You can view the results here:

happy with the results. I think  Bgsmooth works great on these kind of shots,
