Re: [APML] JMI Easy-align

I use the JMI in a G-11 like Ulrich. And like Ulrich
mine wobbled when I touched it to rotate the star
field
reticle. The focuser on the tube made contact with the
end of the shaft inside so I used a spacer to bring it
out and away then used a nylon washer beveled to fit
inside the threaded ring. This centers and keeps the
polar scope from moving inside the ring. After doing
these minor upgrades, the scope works well and I've
found that I don't need to drift if shooting an hour
at f/6 thru my Tak FS-102. At f/8 I do drift align
first, but it's pretty quick.

The biggest pain was aligning the reticle for the
first time after doing a long drift alignment. Talk
about a busted neck.

I hope this helps.
