Hey, once you're deep into Tak gear (and a BRC is pretty darn deep, even if
you got it used), even Mamiya starts to look almost affordable. Soon you'll
start to look at Hasselblad, and Zeiss, so give it some time to take hold of
you <g>. Before you know it, you'll be on the phone to Ceravolo, asking for
quotes on a custom astrograph complete with non-vignetting camera and 35mm
film holder. You'll find yourself telling the carpet owner things like "my
dad always said to use the right tool for the job, and always get the best
tools you can afford" or even the classic "once I start getting enough print
orders, this stuff will pay for itself."
<vbg>
Eventually reality will set in, possibly by making sudden contact with the
side of your head, and the bargain grade M645 may start to look pretty good
again. Heck, even the dark corners may start to look pretty good again. The
carpet manufacturers will rejoice. And kitchen cabinet guys, and the paint
store, and...
Sincerely,
Jon Kolb
