Re[2]: [APML] OT: WindowsXP and SprintScan 4000

Joseph,

Actually, I upgraded recently (mainly because of problems with Win98
crashing) and everything on my two-to-three year old machine is
working fine. The only thing that didn't have manufactures drivers
yet is my cheep-o Umax flatbed scanner, but WinXP had simple built
in drivers that make it somewhat usable until Umax comes out with
  their own.

See my previous post about the SS4000. You can also install the
ASPI drivers and that will also solve the problem. This was
necessary for me since I primarily use VueScan. The ASPI drivers
can even be downloaded from Ed Hamrick's web page (www.hamrick.com).
