         I held off upgrading to XP because my local computer dealer told 
me XP has a limited range of hardware support, especially compared to 
98.  I even ran into hardware  compatability problems using Win ME  on my 
laptop.  Your best option may be to "downgrade" (if that's the right word) 
back to Win 98.
