No this is not good. I think that buyers should expect claims about potential products to be accurate. Many amateur buyers of telescopes are not knowledgable enough in optics to realize the 2 micron claim is not possible in real life, and I'm in that group. It boils down to the fact that marketeers take advantage of those who don't know. It's not ethical or moral but it happens all the time. And this isn't the first inaccurate or misleading claim made by this particular telescope Co. Hint: "Image circle". 
I've never been aware of any misleading or inaccurate claims made by AP. I guess that's probably one reason you can't go buy a new AP without waiting 2-3 years. I sure appreciate honesty in product representation.

There is always a temptation for marketeers to inflate, stretch and mislead. Is this good?
