  This is not directly APML related but I will throw in my short two
cents worth. I too have both MACs and PCs at home and office and use
them for both technical coding and imagery work. Of the two I find the
MAC is much more friendly for imagery work and color rendition on the
end product from a printer.  If you need to move easily from format to
format I have found Graphicconverter (shareware) to be indispensable,
especially going from PC and SUn to Mac and back with imagery.
Ultimately having both seems to work best.
