Thank you Leakos, Matt & Robert.
The slides were very dark astrophotos. I tried to take a bright
indoor photo for the first one, but I messed up somehow & it came out black.
Yes, I am grateful they did not try to cut them. I had a hard time myself seeing
where to cut. They are now cut in strips & being pressed in a book with
weight on it. Would it ruin the emulsion side to gently try to reverse bend
them? Where would I buy glass mounts & negative wrappers?
I was planning to scan them. I have a 6 frame film holder for my
scanner which will flatten them somewhat, but not the bad crimps. The glass
mounts seem like the best solution. My scanner will also accept slides in
mounts.
Are there any good Photo Labs by mail? I live in Southern New England. I
sent a roll to Fuji in Arizona 2 months ago & it took 3 weeks to get back.
The Lab I used this time has a 3 day turn around time by mail, but they
certainly don't have the right packaging to ship an uncut roll of developed
film.
