I suggest you try and locate magnitude estimates for the asteriod of interest to see where it falls in relation to the figures (14.2, 17) above. I checked Pasachoff (Petersen Field Guide: Stars and Planets) and the 15 brightest satellites have a magnitude of 8.3 or better.
