[APML] Printer question

Hi
I use an Epson 750 Photo Stylus, 6 ink, printer.
It prints great photos but whenever I print photos it is very "dirty", lots
of excess ink at the very edges of the paper, streaks on the back and
sometimes ink globs on the print itself. No amount of cleaning solves it,
within one or two prints it is doing the same thing again, seems to quickly
dirty the jets and rollers. Any ideas, anyone else have this trouble with
this printer? Is it a common printer problem, any recommendations for a
better photo printing printer.
