Re: [APML] monitors

I had a chance to look at my website using both the Apple 22" LCD
monitor and a Dell/Sony Trinitron monitor. The results are very
different. The Apple LCD is significantly brighter and significantly
more contrasty. And I really mean "significantly". I used to think that
my Trinitron monitor was bright and contrasty until I was able to
compare these two side by side. The Apple LCD made the Trinitron look
very dull. Granted, the Trinitron is about 5 years old. Does anyone know
if the phosphor on CRTs fade with time and usage to the extent that it
effects brightness/contrast? Anyway, the Apple LCD with its better
brightness/contrast showed many processing artifact of my images which
were processed using the older Trinitron monitor.
