The Apple LCD is very good, sharper and higher contrast (and bigger) 
than my previous CRT.  It is 22 inches diagonal and only plugs into 
Macs.  Color correction (profiles) is built into the operating system, 
so colors are very good.

I saw a HP LCD yesterday that was stunningly bad, and all the laptop 
screens I've seen are also crummy.  So there is a wide range of quality 
out there.
