Some are, many aren't.  But that is a big difference between the better
units and the "cheapo" ones ("cheapo" being a relative term....)  The 
better ones have an extremely wide viewing angle - wide enough that 
I have no problem using them in conference rooms.  But as usual 
quality doesn't come for free.
