I tried and it seems to work fine.  The IT manager at my work said, "Oh
yeah, there are all sorts of ad killers out there.  They tend to work
pretty well."

I have been very annoyed by advertising on web pages, especially the
newer pop-up ads.  This seems to be the fix.  Of course, within a couple
years, the advertisers will figure out a way to punch through the ad
killers, but for a while, we can have some respite.
