Re: [APML] Best 120 color film?
Loke,
About a year ago I did a very rudimentary test of the Optima in poor
transparency. The results were not very useful but they seemed to be quite
encouraging and were consistent with what I would have expected from a
Kodak PJ 400 type of film. Since then there have been comments that the
red response is weak, so I don't know. I scanned one of Philipp's Optima
negatives (as a test scan on my 45 Ultra) and the red looked pretty good to
me. I could dig out the scan if anyone is interested.
There has also been some encouraging comment on the Fuji Provia 400. This
is a professional fim available in both 35mm and 120 format, but it is a
slide film in case that's important to know.
The main problem for me with E200 is the very inaccurate OIII response
(even more inaccurate than PJ400) which renders nebulous regions in an
orange-red.
