Hi
Tony
Three
nights? How "real" is the image? Is the foreground naturally in front of
that star field? Did the meteors actually follow those paths through that star
field? Were the clouds on a different night than the meteors? Just wondering how
much was "created"? The end result is certainly nice.

Hello, I have had the good fortune to work on what IMHO is one of the most beautiful images to come out of the Leonid Saga... the combination of the foreground, the clouds, the bright Winter stars, and the Leonids coming out of the clouds all combine to create a magical image. The author of the image is Wally Pacholka, a name some of you might recognize from previous publishings... he spent three nights staying up all night to get this... the image is a composite and I did some extensive work to deal with some severe light pollution issues... I have this on a "secret" part of my web page and we have his permission to exhibit it. It's at: http://www.astrophoto.com/WP.htm Hope you like it, Tony |
