Re: [APML] My recent M45, and new email & web page

I had read this article in the past, had not thought about it recently, but am still not
fully convinced it explains what is showing up. IC434 is a red enriched region. M45 is
not. I am not saying that there isn't some layer halation going on, it just seem real
pronouced. I tend not to just explain something on my positives with something I find
others writing about. Jerry is a good reference source, but you need to make sure
yourself. Check the negs and the scans carefully. Here is an early shot in my travels on
PJM of the same region. No halation at all, only slight optics fringing, and actual star
color differences. (Please excuse the guiding, this was before I fully appreciated drift
aligning and before I had an autoguider).

How is your visual color correction on very bright objects with respect to fringing with
the Tak? At 102mm it should be easily well corrected. It is likely film, but I would look
thru your processig chain to make sure.

Just some thoughts.
