Re: [APML] Diffraction spikes with a refractor



IMO this can come from one of two places.

The most likely is the OAG, either the edge of the corrector / reducer lens
or the pick off prism or some other object in the light path inside the OAG.

The other possibility is something on the C14 corrector plate but this is
less likely.

Whatever caused it is close to an optical surface like the corrector or the
OAG.

I can get small flares on bright stars near the edge of my AP field
flattener.
