Hi Matthew,
I use a Pentax K1000 SLR and am very interested in details about your knife edge focuser project. What model(s) are you using for parts and is it difficult to alter that viewscreen? Mine is supposed to be fixed or "non changeable". Please send more details. Sorry I can't measure the film plane distance on my camera right now. I have fresh film loaded, too.
