I haven't done a goto conversion for the G-11, but I have personally
done three on other mounts that I own.

The problems were the same despite different manufacturers of
both mounts and goto systems.  And it was all either mechanical
or system settings.  As someone else mentioned gear adjustment
is critical.  Make sure that you are very comfortable with
tuning up your mount.  As long as you have experience with 
adjusting gears correctly goto conversions can be pretty easy.
