Hi all,
I am thinking about a semi permament placement of the scope,
fixed Losmandy G11 Gemini mount on permament pier and removable OTA. In your
experience, how much is the precision remaining to the polar alignment
after such an action (for very long exposures)? Is it necessary drift again
every time to control or, in spite of the temporary unbalancing and rebalancing,
a virtually perfect polar alignment ramains really the same?
