I recommend to buy a Meade electronic relay like I did for my new 208XT
last week.
I have to connect it to a custom made control box either.

2 advantages:
- Lower risk of damaging any of your components (the Meade relays are
less sensitive to   connection errors)
- Easier connection

drawback:
- additional cost
