I think that such telescopes would be very suitable for guiding, but I
don't know if they're affected by the mirror floating, like the 8"
models. If so, they're completely unuseful for guiding purposes.
Consider also a good 80/1200 guiding refractor. I've recently
completed my 80 mm. self-builded refractor, and just testing it for
visual guiding (I haven't a CCD).

I think yes, they're very massive, and well-builded.

Yes, take a look at Astromart, there are a lot of interesting
instruments available.
