Re: [APML]: Vermin at the observing site?
Wasps and dirt dobbers have given me fits for years. They build their
nests on the roof beams in my observatory and go crazy when I roll off the
roof. They usually settle down during the evening but dealing with them
during the day is no fun. This year I put moth balls in the observatory
and have been totally wasp free. I move the moth balls outside the
observatory while I observe, not to breathe in the fumes all night. I am
concerned about the outgassing of the moth balls and optics - anyone know
what chemical moth balls outgas and its effect on coatings?
