Very informative article! I was wondering what your recommendations on
scanning resolution were. Do you typically scan at the highest
resolution, and then work on the large image? An approach I've found
that works, although I'm not sure is the most efficient, is to scan at
my scanner's highest res, then do any postprocessing on the big image,
save that file, resample down to the width I want for the net and save
that as a JPEG. This is how I processed the image of the Trifid Nebula
(M20) I took over the weekend and have just posted on my page.
