[APML]: NGC 6520 and Barnard 86
Has anyone photographed the region of NGC 6520 and Barnard 86?
Approx coords are -27.8 deg, 18 h 03 min.
This weekend we had some very transparent summer (usually very
hazy in Louisiana!) weather (cool too!). . .transparent enough that I
was able to see Barnard's galaxy (eastern Sagit?) in our local
astro club's 6 inch f/15 refractor at 85x.
The region of NGC 6520 and Barnard 86 really was visually striking to
me. . .a nice open star cluster against a rich milky day background.
. .with an obvious dark nebulosity right next to the cluster! I
wonder what photographs of the region show?
