Don't be too quick to stop recomending it.  I correspond with him just about
daily as we are both in the end stages of getting astrophoto books out next
year.  I assure you "Astrophotography for the Amateur" still lives.  It is
being revised extensively and yesterday Michael said he was aiming for a
December wrap on it.  We are trading manuscripts to eyeball what we both
have.  We don't see the two books as competing against each other.  We each
approach the subject from different ends, but we want to make sure we have
covered it adequately.
