        Thanks for your help - it is appreciated.  In our local club we do have a few 
very knowledgeable people in electronics (one member teaches such at a local college). 
 These same people are helping me build my CCD cookbook - the 211 version, with I hope 
someday to adapt to autoguiding.

        The point is to know where to start.  You and othrs on this list have given me 
that direction.  thanksyou.
