[APML]: Guiding Error Question

Hi:

Does anyone know the maximum error (in seconds) before stars appear
elongated on film for various focal lengths? I'm interested specifically
in 300mm and 180mm. I know approximately the area covered by the inner
circle of my 9mm Meade illumin ret in a 4-inch guide scope, since I
compared it to Jupiter's disk last night. I just want to see how much
leaway I have beyond that inner circle.
