Thanks Chuck -  yes, it was an f/2.8 lens but working at f/4 - I think
(hope) I mentioned this on the web page.  50 mins at f/4 with DS was about
the max I thought I could get away with.  The neg density looks OK I think,
in fact might go a bit denser still, but I don't yet have enough experience
with astro negs to be really sure.
