I have similar info on mine except for the HZ (of course) and the RPM's.
That's why I want, ideally, to go with a Hurst motor from Byers. I don't
know if the reduction gears for the AC and DC motors are the same, but
the folks at Byers should.

I was wondering if I could do that with the Meade's drive corrector,
too. It has a joystick controller. I decided I'd rather go with the JMI
unit. At least now I understand why there are only 2 RA speeds. My
Ultima 8 has a DC stepper and the RA reverses. The high speed rate is a
lot faster on it too. With the original Meade controller I needed a high
power eyepiece to see any RA movement at all. With the 1000mm fl guide
scope I would have needed a high power eyepiece and at least a 2X
barlow.
