Hi Mike;
        The Hurst motor on my 7.5" Byers drive blew out on me int he fiedld this past
Thursday night. Actually, something went ka-ka int he gear box fromt he looks of
things. Really P.O.'d me off, as it was first light witht he new 4x5 sheet film
astrograph at a local Starparty I was at for 4 days. Of course, no spare motors to be
found anywhere.

        I have to pick up a couple of new motors for myself. There are a couple of
surplus stores/companies I plan to chekc out first ($50 is a lot of money). If you
knwo EXACTLY what the specs of the motor you need are, and e-mail them to me, I can
get back to you witht he costs should I be able to find any surplus. I know about 6
months ago Active Surplus in Toronto had some Hurst motors for a lot less than $50,
but I do not know if they still have them, of even if they are th eright specs.

        Anyhow, let me know,a nd I'll tell you what I find.
joe

PS...does anybody have designs/picture of a spring mounting for the worm to the gear?
My worm is just held into place by two bolts against eh wheel, but I would like to
adapt a spring mount if possible.
