Re: [APML] Gamma-Cygnus taken with FSQ-106N

Wade,

I think your image, although very good, lacks image density. You should try taking 3 or 4 images at perhaps 90 to 100 minutes and stack them. I don't think a singer image will not get your all the subtle nebulosity in this area and there is plenty of it. I shot this same area 2 years ago with E200 and TechPan.using a FSQ-106. Here is the result for comparison: http://aisig.sdaa.org/astroblogDetail.asp?imgID=282&UserID=67

Chuck,

Thanks, I really appreciate your expertise. Although your starting
points did not work on the original file. I did make several
adjustments which hopefully helped. Please, let me know what you
think.

there is quite a bit of area with little or no nebulosity.

You should check out Wei-Hao's deep image of this area. It is
filled with nebulosity with very few if any areas that are neutral
(i.e. no nebulosity). Hopefully, he want get mad, but here's a link
to his spectacular mosaic of this area.

His higher resolution image is just breathtaking.
