Hi Jerry

I just checked and the astigmatism starts to become noticeable when I
blow the image up to an effective size of 16 by 24 inches, so as you say
I am probably becomming anal about the numbers and not looking at the
true "big picture".
Next time I am shooting I'll probably try closing down half a stop just
to see if it cures the problem, if it doesn't I'll probably just ignore
it.
The photos will probably only be printed at 8 by 10 or 12, or worse yet
a mosaic of 16+ images may be printed 24 by 36.
