Brian, nice shot! I think despite the legendary 180mm ED lens, my 105mm is still my favourite, I cannot get over how sharp it is.

Do you think you could stretch the image a bit more? The contrast in the Milky Way seems low. You could select the Lagoon, feather it, invert the selection and then do some stretching on the rest of the field. Just a thought.
