AP from Mauna Kea, was Re: [APML] Poor Blue in 400F?
BTW, a question for Wei-Hao that others might be
interested in hearing the answer to (or perhaps it's
general knowledge). I took the Visitor Information
Station's tour of the Mauna Kea summit about a month
ago. (Anyone interested can read about it here:
http://cobalt.golden.net/~kwastro/images/Pulsar_Summer_2005.pdf)
So I'm a little familar with the access road to the
summit. Wei-Hao's shots are taken at 3500 meters
elevation (about 11,500 feet). That's well above the
VIS. Wei-Hao, where exactly do you shoot from? It must
be somewhere accessible from the summit road, correct?
(I think there is only one road.) I'm just generally
interested - there's almost zero chance I'll ever do
any AP on Mauna Kea, assuming I come back some day.
