RE: [APML] Sierra Star Trails Question

Allan, Id do a check of the Kp index for that night, and see if it exceeds 5
or so. That would cause the airglow you are seeng to be enhanced. It could
also of coarse be a shift in film sensitivity centered on the lenses
vignette.

Subject: [APML] Sierra Star Trails Question

Hello -

I was in the Sierra Nevada the week of August 8th and took these star
trail images. Was at 11,000 feet - a nice dark site. The first image
was about an hour long exposure and the second about an hour and a
half. Taken on Fuji 100ASA Superia Print Film. The heavy green
response in the images was a surprise to me - kind of cool in an odd
way. I'm curious if others have seen this same effect. Any comments
are welcome!

Thanks,

Allan
