RE: [APML] Sierra Star Trails Question
Allan,
Nice star trails! Pointing the camera to the north star is still
one of my favorite ways to do astrophotography. I'm always hoping I
can catch a random bright meteor. It's a little more difficult to
get a landscape in the photo from my latitude since the North
Celestial Pole is around 45 degrees above the horizon (i.e. it takes
a very wide-angle lens).
The green cast is likely due to either light pollution and/or
reciprocity failure of the film. Could you see a light dome in the
north caused by a distant large city? I'm not sure about the
reciprocity characteristics of this film, but there is a chance it
aided in producing the green cast too.
