I may end up getting the vacuum back, but for now I have to figure out
what I did. I've got a pretty good idea that I was simply
over-enthusiatic in securing the front of the lens and ended up
"bending" it slightly.

I had the camera and lens in the shop and the technician says the tiny
amount of flex I'm seeing is normal for the camera and that the lens
does focus to infinity. I've received a Stilleto focuser to have my own
go at checking that, and I'm ordering a couple of DR125 (clones) to try
to attach only the lens and let the body just hang there---that config
will make it easier to attach the Stilleto to check focus.

I'm going to run some tests from here in Brooklyn before my next
outing over Labor Day weekend.

regards,

roland
