Hello, I am new to the group. So far I really enjoy what I see and
reading the many of the previous posts. I have a Celestron C5+ scope that I’ve owned since
1999. However, it has been in storage until recently for almost 4 years.
I’ve messed with astrophotography and really enjoyed it. I have a Pentax
ME Super and a Canon FTb. I do mostly piggy back and occasionally prime focus. After taking the scope out of storage and attending a star
party a couple weeks ago, I’m back into enjoying this hobby again. Since 1999 the types of color negative films have changed.
Can anyone please bring me up to date on current films that may be purchased at
a Wal-Mart or drug store. Also, I have never used slide film. But that seems to be the
preferred method. I have an Epson 1650 scanner. Can I simply scan slides on
this Epson and create JPEGs? Any suggestions would be helpful. Getting
ready for the weekend. Thank you Dave Keeley |
