[APML] Cygnus in H-a (105mm)

Hi...

I decided after my motor drive kicked the bucket, i
would try the primitive way of astrophotgraphy by hand
guiding my exposures.

I actually had better results using my hand then my
old motor drive.
This is nothing I want to continue doing, but when you
have clear skies, and an ounce of motivation, you can
accomplish much!

I used my 105mm this time, daring to go beyond what i
usually use, which is my 50mm lens.

The lens, "wide open", was equipped with a lumicon H-a
filter, and exposure was 20 mins for each frame.
I stacked both exposures in picture window.

In Photoshop, i decided to use the minimum filter to
bring out the nebula in the back ground also dimming
the stars out.
After that I could bring up the levels a bit without
too much burning.
This is all i could do with the image as there was
almost a full moon last night, which I had to use
about 4 gradiants to balance the glare out.

comments welcome,

Cat: I'm so handsome, there's a six-month waiting list for birds to suddenly appear whenever I am near!
