Re: [APML] new 135mm shot preview: Rosette and Cone

Carlos, that is a rich image! The bright nebula at lower left is very bright, maybe too bright?

Meanwhile, for me, the stars are a bit bloated which seems to be a common complaint with E200. I tried a 1 pixel minimum filter on the jpeg image in Photoshop and then faded it to 50% and I thought it made the stars look better.

Subject: [APML] new 135mm shot preview: Rosette and Cone

Hi all

Here is a preview of the current pic I'm working on:

This time I used E200. 5x 15 minutes at f/4, pushing 2 steps, from the Antilhue Observatory (Daniel Verschatse's) near Santiago (Chile).

I know that this pic still has a lot of work left, but I'm willing to hear from you what you think, and some suggestions.

BTW, it was scanned at 4000dpi with my SS400. It has been processed mainly with PixInsight Standard. Other softwares used are R, AutoH and Divide!, wich were developed using the PixInsight Class Libraries, in C++ (R was made by Juan, it automatically registers images; AutoH is mine, and automatices the histogram adjustments; finally, Divide! is a new application I made to automatice and simplify the task of non linear dividing a film with a flat. I hope to be able to upload it soon).

Regards,

Carlos Milovic F.
