Re: [APML] RE: Red sensitive negative films?
I just had a look at the konica-minolta website and the pdf for the
vx-400 film. The curve for the reds is starting to do a steep nose dive
around 656nm but might be close enough. There is a huge gap between the
blue and green that will miss OIII and H-Beta (not too uncommon). The
sheet does list the reciprocity failure rate at 1 full stop after 10
seconds though.
Proof is in the shots though, Ilford SFX looks like the magic bullet on
paper. Fact is I can probably record more with just about any film out
there. It is probably the only film that performs worse than un-hypered
TP developed in Dektol.
