Re: [APML] Question Mark and the Mysterians?

Hey Richard,
Great old song!  Brings back memories.

Preliminary image looks good.  Looking forward to the finished product.

this should really separate the generations.....

But that was the overwhelming thought that came to mind when I examined this 3.5 hours of halpha data I took last night from my 150mm widefield setup.

the processing is only preliminary. I still need to shoot flats and to add more darks to the master dark, but it is sort of fun so I decided to share this with the group anyway in this preliminary state.

John Mirtle and I were discussing this very region last night; and I mentioned that I was imaging that area. So here is what I have so far.

the lens was operated at f/4, stopped down one click.

most of this data was shot unattended. I need to work on the tracking a bit. It may be that my polar alignment has shifted a bit. I am set up on a wooden platform in a horseshoe pitching area in order to point into the northern part of the sky. That's not my preferred location from a stability perspective :-)
