this should really separate the
generations.....
But that was the overwhelming thought that came
to mind when I examined this 3.5 hours of halpha data I took last night from
my 150mm widefield setup.
the processing is only preliminary. I still need
to shoot flats and to add more darks to the master dark, but it is sort of fun
so I decided to share this with the group anyway in this preliminary
state.
John Mirtle and I were discussing this very
region last night; and I mentioned that I was imaging that area. So here is
what I have so far.
the lens was operated at f/4, stopped down one
click.
most of this data was shot unattended. I need to
work on the tracking a bit. It may be that my polar alignment has shifted a
bit. I am set up on a wooden platform in a horseshoe pitching area in order to
point into the northern part of the sky. That's not my preferred location from
a stability perspective :-)
