[APML] Konica Film + private label update

For those of you who are curious, I have been on a
quest to find out what pro films are out there under
private labels.

Some of you may have a hard time like myself, finding
a store close by that sells various brand films.

For me, Kodak is the major brand around here sold in
professional camera stores....nothing else is really
available.
I cannot find fuji slide film, konica, agfa, or any
other various films in these stores.

However, my lack of resourses has made me dig a bit
deeper.

I have found so far, that walgreens private label film
is "Agfa vista" 100-800 speed, the 800 being the most
useful for astrophotography...sensitive to the reds
with fairly good reciprocity charecteristics.
This would be a good choice for the upcoming perseids.
I never seen it used for aurora.
Ill try it next storm.

The "Dollar General" store sells Konica film.
Im not sure how nation wide this store really is.
I called them and the only info they had was that it
is Konica, they just dont know if its centuria or not.

Ill have to test this film further.
The barcode must be " 00007 62021 " with a 4 to the
left, and a 6 to the right of the barcode #.
If anyone has any other information on this film,
please let me know.

I will scan the labels and post them somewhere if
anyone is interested.
Another useful hint on identifying film, is by their
expiration dates.
If they look like they have the same printing for
expiration dates compared to the professional film,
its most likely that brand of film.

I hope this helps.

Brian
