Re: [APML] More bad film news (Other options)
Hi Kent
I do have a letter three quarters drafted which I will finish tonight
and get in the mail tomorrow. I had a brief cruise through a few medium
and large format film groups and there is also some moaning there about
the loss of TP. The 35mm B&W crowd seem to be heading towards several of
the re-packaged microfilm emulsions with special developers as an option
for TP.
I doubt if TP has its own production line so possible we can convince
Kodak to run the film every now and then as a goodwill/amateur research
gesture. The profits won't be huge but it won't be a money loser.
Also, the six month lead time for the cancellation has me starting to
wonder if they are using the announcement as a sounding board to see
what the publ;ic outcry is like.
As you have suggested (and Jason when he ran into the 120 backing
problems) we should all do a little yelling and let Kodak know that we
do give a damn.
