The ST-4 is widely regarded as a very good autoguider, at least for being
conceived in the early '90s.

However, this is not the case with me: I've been trying several times, but
I've never been able to get it working. So I was trying to analyze and nail
all the problems; the guidescope seemed to be the most important. Maybe
it's not the only one: other issues should be investigated, such as the
motor drive (I use an Astromeccanica DA-1) and the mount itself (periodic
error, backlash, etc.).

Very nice pics! What brand is your guidescope?

Thanks,
Emmanuele
