Subject: [APML] Sierra Summer Milky Way - The Movie
Hi all -
I thought I would share this.
A good friend of mine just got back from a pack trip in the High Sierra of
California. He brought along his Canon 10D and decided to do an all night
time lapse movie of the Milky Way. Below are the details on the movie along
with equipment used.
- Image start time: 9:17pm on August 10th
- Image end time: 5:25am on August 11th
- Canon 15mm f/2.8 full frame fisheye lens @ f/2.8
- Total images: 245 images
- 1 minute exposure every other minute
- ISO 800
- Small/coarse JPEGs
- Lexar 2GB 40x CF Card
- Movie built with QuickTime Pro and played back at 15 frames per second.
Location: 10,000ft in the Hoover Wilderness west of Bridgeport, California
Have a look. File is 7MB........well worth the wait if using dial-up!
