phantastic work! Welcome to the Milky Way panorama club! <g>
It is interesting to see that software designed for terrestrial panoramas
appears to perform well for astrophotos, too. People sometimes ask me
whether such software would work, and I never had a good answer (when I
started my all-sky image, I had to write my own deprojection code, since
panorama software was still in its infancy).

I admire your patience to select 1000 reference stars! Do you plan to
extend this into an all-sky image?
