I guess as long as the package is intact (no pinholes), it will keep for a
long time. If you are going to buy a big supply that has been in the store
for a while, you might want to carefully inspect each packet carefully to
ensure there are no obvious breaks in the packing. I know, as I did what you
are suggesting a couple of years ago, only to find that about half of the
packages had pinprick type holes and moisture had gotten into the powder and
turned it brown (brown powder is bad <g>).
